Welcome to the first ever Satoshibles Newsletter! This new setup will be our main way of bringing you the latest news and updates about the project. Our Discord is also a great way to keep a pulse on all things Satoshibles, so make sure to join the family! We have a lot to unpack in this one, so let’s dive in!
A Quick Recap
We have our first birthday coming up in June, as we look back at the past year it is absolutely incredible to see what we have achieved together! The Satoshibles collection has become quite well known in the NFT community as the largest Bitcoin themed NFT in the space.
We launched a super creative experience with Monster Satoshibles and the ability to burn monsters in the lab! There are still some primes left to create, so get them while they last! The monsters collection also served as a great way to give you more of Ayoubb’s amazing artwork!
The monumental launch of StacksBridge made us the first ever NFT project to bridge from Ethereum to Bitcoin via Stacks and the first collection to be active across multiple chains. We have close to 10% of our supply already bridged over and received a really warm welcome from the Stacks community. The future of Stacks is looking very bright, we got in on the ground floor and the only way is up!
NFTs For Social Good
We were introduced to the Built With Bitcoin Foundation at the start of the project when our community voted to donate 10 ETH to them. This started us on a journey and the Built With NFT project was born!
We could not be more proud of how you all rallied behind this initiative. Thanks to your efforts, we have already donated 13 ETH from the mints. We recently took the decision to launch half of the collection on Stacks to make the project as accessible to as many people as possible, enabling STX and BTC payments via Lightning. There will be more updates on the progress of the work on the ground coming soon.
Introducing Phase 2
Last week we sent out our teaser video for the next stage in our project that we have decided to call “Phase 2”. Over the course of the next couple of newsletters, we will be breaking down each item in the pipeline, going into much more detail.
We are really excited to start the second half of our journey with you and look forward to showing off all the things we have in store! Here is a small breakdown of some things to get us started:
Brand & Marketing
In an effort to create a more cohesive and professional brand, we are working with a designer to refresh the logo and brand identity for Satoshibles. This will be rolled out on the website and in our marketing materials soon.
The website has not been updated since mint and will be receiving a complete re-work. The updated website will focus on all the key areas of the project and offer some really cool features:
- The story behind our artwork and Satoshi Nakamoto
- A much improved gallery section with trait filter
- Live Sales information
- Highlight Special Editions Section
- StacksBridge info (stats, tutorials, etc)
- Updated team information
- Monsters “minisite” refresh (show lab process, better primes info)
- Discord login and dynamic integration (user profile, etc.)
- Store (merch, collectibles & more)
Sneaks peeks of the website update will be shown in the Discord, so make sure to join and not miss out!
Marketing Campaigns
As you may have noticed over the past few months, we have really ramped up our marketing machine! We are pushing our Bitcoin/Satoshi connection, and have seen a great increase in our Twitter engagement. We plan to roll out more creative campaigns throughout the year.
Giving You Ownership
We are about to drop an update to clear up our terms and grant you all full usage rights to your Satoshibles, with a robust ownership and IP agreement in place. We want to make sure the power is in the owner’s hands to do exactly what they want with their Satoshibles, both personally and commercially. Do you want to start a business with your Sat as the image? Do you want to include it in your band logo? Well, with this update you can! We can’t wait to see what you create. This should be released next week, check discord for announcements.
IRL Events
Last month, we hosted “Bitcoin On The Beach” in Dubai, our first ever Satoshibles event. It was sponsored by Stacks and it was a huge success, we have had really great feedback from the guests! We even created a free attendance NFT for the event!
Due to the success of Bitcoin On the Beach, we want to do more IRL events! Nothing is set in stone yet, but we will try to sneak in another event before the end of the year. Some of the team will be attending NFTnyc this year, so if you will also be there, make sure to reach out to us on Discord and we can arrange a meetup!
SatoshiCoin & Satoshi DAO
Probably the most exciting thing about Phase 2 is the introduction of SatoshiCoin, our community token on Stacks. This will be the thing that binds all of our collections together and will provide massive utility for not only our community but others on Stacks as well.
We are working closely with the amazing team at ALEX on this and we will need a full newsletter to break all of this down for you so stay tuned for that.
We want most of the major decisions about SatoshiCoin to be decentralized and community driven. We will be launching the Satoshi DAO to allow the community to vote on proposals. We have already worked with the community and gathered feedback and are sure to see proposals on day 1 of the DAO. They are going to blow your mind. Just gonna leave this here …
We built the bridge over to Stacks not only because we belong on Bitcoin, but also because we believe in where Stacks will be in 5 years. We are there to build and that is exactly what Phase 2 is all about.
